Shin pads

It is considered very important to wear shin pads in football matches. If you don't wear them you could face getting badly injured. In the heat of a game I have found that ridiculous challenges can be made. I won't say I have never fouled a player, because there have been a few occasions I have given away free kicks. However I have never gone into a challenge hoping to injure or badly hurt a player. I think those who do are cowards and shouldn't be playing football.

My shin pads have probably saved me a couple of times because I don't like to back out of challenges so in my opinion if you play like this you need shin pads. Even if you are more of a reserved player who doesn't like to get stuck in shin pads should still be worn as some ridiculous challenges can still come flying in. As I have been on the receiving end of some challenges like this I have found shin pads to block the impact.

If shin pads were not worn if you get injured you may be out for a long time and this means no football until you have recovered. Would it be worth risking this? Surely not so I wear shin pads whenever I am playing football. Of course if you are just having a kick around then shin pads may not be essential.

My advice is that anyone who plays the game should wear shin pads, these can stop you from getting injured or badly hurt. Always Remember safety comes first.
